More Airplane Hell

Your laugh of the day today is on me, again.

I've mentioned the airplane project I'm working on with Captain Awesome, and how it is so far out of my league to assemble something like that.

The latest issue we are having is that the battery will not charge.

We charged it overnight, nothing....wriggled the wires, unplugged, replugged, still nothing.

So, I've been going back and forth with the company we purchased it from, trying to get a replacement battery. They were surprised that we had a problem with it, because no one has ever had any issues.

On the 16th e-mail (seriously!), he said he would send a replacement, but would need to know exactly which battery it was, in order to be compatible with the rest of the kit.

Sooooo, I snapped a photo of the battery and sent it to him.

This is the response I got:

"Now this is making sense to me. What you showed me in that photo is not a battery, it is a 20 amp speed controller. It controls the power to the motor and the speed that the motor turns. This will never charge, and it's not a battery the batteries are about 5 to 10 times larger. Do you need a battery? "

You're welcome.
